About The N3rdy Blacksmith
A tiny creature forge with a practical streak.
The N3rdy Blacksmith is a small Kansas City area 3D printing and design shop run by Steve and Rachel — two real people building a business around playful prints, practical parts, custom ideas, and things with actual personality.
What we’re about
Fun prints, useful parts, and no faceless factory nonsense.
Steve and Rachel make playful creatures, desk toys, gifts, prototypes, replacement pieces, fixtures, and small-batch prints from the Kansas City area with the kind of care you only get from people who actually like making things.
The forge rules
- Make things with personality.
- Tell people plainly what is possible.
- Keep custom work human and practical.
- Use 3D printing where it actually makes sense.
- Never sell a bad idea just because it can be printed.
Steve, Rachel, and the Kansas City forge
Small shop energy, real human hands, and a whole lot of printed weirdness.
The N3rdy Blacksmith is Steve and Rachel’s shop — built around the idea that 3D printed things should feel fun, useful, and personal instead of generic.
We’re based around Kansas City, which means local custom requests, small-batch work, prototypes, and oddball part problems are all part of the story. Some days that looks like a colorful desk creature. Some days it looks like a replacement piece, fixture, gift, or practical print that just needs to exist.
Either way, the goal is the same: make something real, make it thoughtfully, and keep the process human.
